The Met Gala is Approaching...

With the Met Gala just less than a month away I cannot imagine the stress that Anna Wintour must be enduring as co chair, especially with this years theme as Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. With this years theme paying tribute to someone who made such an impact on the fashion industry during his time, the pressure will definitely be on.
Working alongside Anna as co chairs will be Dua Lipa, Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, and Roger Federer. Which if you remember my post in January questioning why Roger Federer was attending the Chanel Haute Couture Fashion Show, it is now finally starting to piece itself together.
Having been running the Met Gala since 1995, Anna Wintour has a lot of experience in what needs to be done and ultimately has a lot of power vested in her. If you have had even a glimpse of her in "The September Issue" you know that she is very precise in what she does and does not want, and will not hesitate to turn what she is not interested in away. With that being said there have been some rumors circulating that the Kardashian Jenner clan may not have made the cut to be on the guest list for this years Met Gala. If this is true it is definitely a bold move, a move that only someone like Anna Wintour could make. She knows what she is doing and if she doesn't think that they should be there then they won't be. I personally do not think that the rumor is true but it would definitely make for an interesting story. I just cannot imagine her not inviting at least Kendall Jenner when she has so much success in the fashion world.
Anyways I am personally very excited for this years Met Gala. I am excited to see who did and did not make the guest list and assuming that she is a no brainer for the guest list due to her close relationship with Karl Lagerfeld, I am very excited to see what Cara Delevingne is going to be wearing. I can only imagine that this will be an emotional night for her and that she aims for only the best as pays tribute to someone who had such a strong presence in her life. Not too much longer and we will get to see for ourselves!
