It wasn't until very recently that I even knew who La Parisienne was. Of course there exists the stereotypes on Parisians and how they look and dress. Yet it seems to be much more than just that.

La Parisienne, is a reality. She is who lives in Paris and embodies an aura of grace, sophistication, and elegance. And not just through her fashion choices, but through how she carries herself. When you see La Parisienne, you should easily be able to distinguish her compared to everyone else because she stands out in the best way possible. It is because of La Parisienne that Paris was deemed that fashion capitol of the world. She was the original muse.

Contrary to popular belief, anyone can be La Parisienne, you do not have to be born in Paris in order to be viewed as La Parisienne. So long as you live in Paris and adapt to the qualities of what makes up La Parisienne, you too can be her. Though you must represent her in confidence.

But do you have what it takes? As previously stated, this is not just about fashion, although important, but it is about how you carry yourself in an effortless fashion. Walking through the streets with your head raised, yet not in a way that depicts vanity. Keeping up with current fashion trends, yet incorporating them in your way. Maybe beginning new fashion trends and inspiring others in what to wear. All done in a sophisticated manner. At first glance it sounds unobtainable, but as I pay attention to who I come across while living in Paris, I see that La Parisienne exists all over the city. Personally I don't think I have what it takes to be La Parisienne, but that doesn't mean that the same goes for you!
